The sky cast red hues through the mansion's windows where two figures sat, gazing through the glass. Darkness would soon fall, and their prey would be leaving the vineyard soon. Lazily looking to his sister, Deimos motioned to the door. Yawning as he followed her through the doorway and down the hall, in his opinion - it was too early to be up. The duo, however, had heard of the abundance of prey that wandered through the yards which only kept them here for that reason. After not eating for a few days, and only being in this town for a week and half tops, they decided to follow the rumours.
They moved through the back doors until they were at the end of the terrace that overlooked all thirty or so acres. Arae surveyed the lands, pin pointing where the vineyard was. "If we go over there, we can hunt." She spoke before turning around into a brisk trot, her brother at her heels. The pair found themselves at the vineyard soon after. Arae lowered her snout to the ground, sniffing for deer droppings before lifting her snout up to the air.
She motioned in the direction of a doe, a couple hundred meters ahead. Deimos lined up to charge from behind, where he would then chase her towards Arae who was creeping to the western side of the yard. A medium sized doe stood foraging for food through the green leafs, and Deimos kept moving forward, his body tensing with each movement.
Deimos took off to dash the last 50 meters, weaving through the yard after her. The chase had begun.

Deluca was a hulking mass of battered flesh and puckered scars, he was noble and vulgar to the eye at the same damn time. He walked with a heaviness many mistook for clumsiness and brawny ignorance, but he was far from both. Speed not his most outstanding quality but balance and muscles primed for reaction and a ever thoughtful mind were encased within his elephantine mass. Ivory and crème paws fell silently onto the sun bleached dirt, claws leaving impressions in the dirt, wolfish in size and heaviness an indication to any who followed him that they might truly have a monster on the end of their line. His head was low, he allowed for his jowls to hang loose and salmon tongue dangled from his maws, saliva dripping occasionally into the flaky soil. His healthy eye scanned his surroundings constantly, his right good only for recognizing moving objects, everything gray and blurred within its sight.
Large frame meant large meals to maintain his athletic physique, the wind, as if in response to his thoughts, blew an enticing scent into his rose peppered schnauze and his belly responded with a gurgle. His body instinctively sunk low to the ground, steps became slow and precise, falling before one another in a painstaking rigidness. Color smattered hackles rose into a hued mohawk in anticipation of violence, saliva filled his heavy jowls freely now, his audits flattened to his skull. He creeped slowly until she came into his view, her back was to him, blissfully unaware of her ending present. When suddenly her velveteen head shot up, ears pricking at a sound before natural prey survivalism kicked in and she whirled around in a graceful flight. Whatever had frightened her had pushed her directly to Deluca, she sprang headlong in his direction still unaware of his presence.
The tawny doe angled away from him slightly, and finally he exploded into an image of predator instead of stalker, he ran beside her in another grape row. Snarling and snapping at her heels under the rows when he had the oppurtunity, a boulder appeared in his row, Deluca pushed for a small burst of speed, racing for the boulder before the doe could angle away. He rocketed off the boulder, muscles rippling in a display of violence, his jaws gaped aiming for the does soft jugular, when he caught a flash of movement not of the doe but of another dog. His bodie's hulking frame collided heavily with the doe, jaws finding purchase in her neck and they were rewarded instantly with a spray of crimson. He was sure the weight of his frame had snapped her neck before his jaws delivered death, they tumbled to the flaky soil, Deluca nearly being thrown clear of her with the impact. He stubbornly clung to her limp body, lifting his head, jaws still filled with her crimson and flesh, black lips peeled back to reveal ivory canines in warning to the invader. A low snarl filled his maw as the unknown dog filled the sight of his left eye, Deluca's white/creme pelt was splattered with scarlett and his frontal wrinkled into an savage expression. He wouldn't attack unprovoked but he wouldn't lose his meal to anyone either, his audits once again dissapeared into his bear like cranium.

Deimos was at the doe's heels, and he dug his toes into the ground for the last time - propelling him towards her. His teeth locked in place as he dangled from her backside, ripping his head back and forth. The doe was stronger than she appeared, and kept on moving despite the stream of blood that was filling his jowls. The siblings were unaware of the hulking mongrel that was dwelling near them, until Deimos' saw him out of the corner of his eye.
The unknown canine was springing alongside them, before he launched off of a boulder. Arae was running towards them, though before she had a chance to reach out with her own teeth, there was a huge collision and a loud audible snap. Her brother was thrown with the doe, unwilling to release her from his mouth, though he seemed to manage to stick a decent land. A few bruises would arise later, although he wasn't phased by this at all. His eyes locked with the male who he'd seen ripple off of the boulder. Arae had barely gotten out of the way of the collision, and she too, stared at the mongrel with unwavering eyes.
His expression did not phase either of them, nor did his size. Dei's brindle coat matched the same amount of blood as Deluca's, though his had already started to dry in the crisp air, turning a muddy brown. The brindle dog kept his expression calm, though did not release the hindquarters just yet. Arae shifted her weight, her nails digging into the ground, it was only a few moments that had passed but it felt like minutes. Finally, her brother released the deer, placing his right paw on the spot of where he had bitten, placing some of his weight on it. His pink tongue slipped over his black lips that had pulled into a wolfish grin. "There is no reason to be so...defensive." He spoke while muling over his options on how to deal with him.
The adrenaline from the chase coursed through both of their veins, although they weren't the pair that would attack without good reason - they did not know if this would end up with bloodshed or not. Arae wondered if he was actually threatened by them, or if he was just being a greedy bastard. Her eyes were calculating, noting every single scar that shown on the cream colouted male. He was obviously not a beginner fighter, although that didn't worry her. She also noted that he seemed to be partially blind, such would be an advantage for her. Once more her brother spoke, "It is a harsh season, and we do not mind splitting the kill." He spoke calmly. The duo wouldn't hesitate to attack if he lurched towards either of them, so they stayed ready.

The brindle male had hung onto the doe with the same damned determination as Deluca, he was mildly impressed although he would never act the part. The growl receeded as it became apparent that he would not attack unless given a reason and Deluca was not the sort to look for problem's only end them, lazy in that sense. He tilted his head slightly to get a better view and a female similar looking to the male filled his functioning orbit. "Siblings probably.." He thought mildly, they were smaller than he was..many were but he could tell by their unwavering gazes that it didn't much phase them at all. Black lips finally sheathed his ivory canines in a mild act of peace, if they didn't want trouble then he was fine with that, bloodshed was always messy and someone always had to end as the victor and as the loser.
He dropped the doe's neck, releasing it from his crimson maw and rumbling slightly in some violent male satisfaction as it hit the ground with a thud. He watched as the brindle male placed a paw over the spot he had pitted teeth against flesh and creme audits twitched as the foreign male spoke. "I am not defensive, only clarifying that I will not being walking away on an empty belly." His voice rumbled with a russian bass, neutral in tone but weighted enough to make his point clear. His tail had fallen to a mid level stiffness, again neutral in its expression, he proclaimed neither dominance or ill intention...although he wouldn't be to off put at some exercise.
He shifted his head slightly to take in the female, she seemed to regard him with the same cold calculating stare as he did everyone. He chuckled in his head, he knew that she had already picked up on his blindness, it was obvious by the way he had to tilt his head so his good eye could assess situations. He lifted his head and straightened his profile, shifting so he stood infront of them squarely and costumed his weakness by gazing at them without the usual tilt of his head. She was a smart bitch and he could tell that this duo was far from the usual miscreants commonly found in NewWaif, but he was far from an unitelligent bastard. Ears twitched again as the brindle male spoke again, his eyes lingered a moment longer on the female before returning to the male. He give a slight dip of the chin to acknowledge the truth of his statement before manuevering his frame around and begining to tear into the soft still warm flesh of the deoe. She wouldn't go to waste. Deluca had been careful to position himself so his left had them in perfect view, leaving his right eye to distinguish grey objects on his far side.
He had accepted the treaty in silence and good will, if it changed he would not hesitate to change his demeanor entirely. But this duo seemed sensible and honourable to a degree higher than most four legged NewWaif residents. Deluca continued to feed, white paws stained themselves scarlett, pinning the doe's neck to flaky soil as his fangs found purchase in her sweet flesh, soft growls of primal pleasure escaped him occasionally. Deluca wondered what would become of the three of them, would they parts ways, end with bloodshed or what, a future his ever thoughtful mind was void of.
